★ Adhere to the Code of Practice in Oral History, facilitating with videos, cameras, and recorders, we will interview our candidates in stages and in various categories in order to preserve the historical materials of our Chinese immigration society comprehensively.
★ Archive the Chinese Canadian oral history as possible as direct, detailed and creditable for the use of future research.
★ The oral history materials will be selected, edited, and published as journals, papers, books, news collections etc. in succession
★ Collecting relevant commemorative objects such as life goods, pictures, mails, stamps, together with the oral history interviews.
★ Establishing Chinese Immigrants Oral history Archive: to keep the oral history recordings and materials produced by CIOHC and from other sources.
★ Sharing our oral history interviews materials with Oral history Archive at Communication University of China and Canadian national Archive, Ontario provincial Archive and Toronto local Archive.
★ Actively seeking cooperation with Canadian oral history institutions, history society, and research organizations.
